Whenever Louis Lindenberg enhanced our European or global association conferences, with up to 150 decision makers from all over the world participating, our members were delighted about his dedicated and coherent presented messages, always shared in an open minded way. To learn about the future strategy and the visions of one of our industry’s most important global customer on recycling and sustainability aspects worldwide were always of great value for our leaders on CEO and top management level.

Personally, I am very grateful that with Louis I met not only a high professional sharing his outstanding business expertise but also to get to know a great character of high empathy and visions on many other subjects which unites us even beyond our professional careers.

I have greatly admired his work over the years in innovation global design and sustainability at Unilever. Values and purpose driven his leadership sets a benchmark for other companies to follow as exampled when he developed and implemented Unilever’s packaging (and product) sustainability strategy that resulted in Unilever being able to reduce its environmental impact while doubling the size of its business across the entire value chain and he has shown the way for companies to be both profitable while also being environmentally responsible and prioritise sustainability at the heart of their operations, I have personally benefitted from his knowledge, wisdom and encouragement which he generously shares with those who too seek to make a difference. I look forward to continue my work with Louis on innovation and sustainability in the future.
